Our filet knife is made of AEB-L high carbon stainless steel. It is double tempered to ensure both strength and flexibility. Our classic turn-of-the-century boat knife grip provides stability and ergonomics when fileting. Blade lengths are approximately nine inches. Longer or shorter versions can be made via special order by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Handles can be made in a variety of woods. In the picture that shows just the handles of the knives the order of wood type is, from left to right: stabilized buckeye burl, stabilized dyed curly maple, lacewood, stabilized cherry burl, paduk, osage orange, bacote, olive wood, stabilized tamarind wood, wengue, and dyed and stabilized tamarind wood.
