In an effort to continue our repurposed wood pursuits we took some off cuts from the TF Woodcraft cutting boards we sell and made  a knife handle out of it.  The results were pretty stunning.   Expect to see some kitchen knives in the future with a similar look.

We will be at Love Live Locals Local Fest!   Yay!  This is our first big exposure at a festival like this so we are really excited.  You can continue to find us  at Cape Cod Beer Farmers Market Fri July 29th and Fri the 5th of August before heading to Pennsic Pennsylvania for a week of knife sales and medieval combat!  We will then be back at Cape Cod Beer Aug 19th and through out the rest of the farmers market season.

Come on by Cape Cod Beer tomorrow for live music, beer and us!!!  Come check out our newest folding knives and our new Scandies that would make Leif Erikson green with envy.  As usual we will be able to sharpen your kitchen knives on the spot while you enjoy an ice cold beer.  Yes those are bottle openers on some of the knives!!

The weather was hot at the Cape Cod Beer Farmers Market and people seemed to stay home where it was cool instead of drinking beer in the sun . However the day was not a complete loss we sharpened some knives and sold a couple of knives. We had our newest folders on display as well as a new damascus paring knife.  Matt from TF Woodcraft was with us with his amazing cutting boards and kitchen utensils.  Slow Food Cape Cod on facebook  also gave us a mention yesterday when they saw us at the Cape Cod Beer Farmers Market so one good turn deserves another.   We love the slow food movement.  People need to get back to making food from scratch instead of eating processed and fast food which is garbage.  You can check out their site at http://slowfoodcapecod.org/

This week we sold knives at the Cape Cod Beer Farmers Market and at the Society for Creative Anachronism event Great North Eastern War with our friend TF Wood Craft.

This is our latest design in friction folders. It is brass and ebony with a piece of Alabama Damascus steel. Every piece of it is hand tooled to shape. It is quite a bit of work, but the end result is worth it.

 

We’re bringing back a 9th century knockout! The seax was the common sidearm of Vikings and Saxon warriors. This knife is a great chopper and stabber.  I good nautical knife for rope and knots or blazing a trail and splitting wood. Whatever your needs, bring out the modern Viking inside you.

Three new knives were born this week..  The first is a dirk that was repurposed from an old replica Napoleonic saber we had kicking around.  It sports a lace wood handle and antler spacers with a brass end cap.  The next is a hunter with an ebony handle and a brass liner with brass pins and lanyard loop.  It is made of 1095 steel.  The smallest knife of the bunch is made from Alabama Damascus with a cocobolo handle and green liner with brass pins.

One lucky lady got a knife for an anniversary present today and a son bought a knife for his dad  -but was not sure if he would give it to his dad.   So whatever your gift needs, knives are a great idea.
