We completed a pair of Japanese inspired knives today. They are decked out with water buffalo and brass handles. The Material is 15n20 high carbon steel they are a single bevel right hand knife. It is our take on a Santoku and a Yanagi Ba.
We also put together a set of six knives with the handles made out of that beautiful board of African Paduk that the Japanese knives are sitting on. We will post those pics when they are finished sometime tomorrow.

Cape Cod Beer has been nice enough to give us a display case in their shop! They are fantastic people with a fantastic product and a gift shop filled with products by Cape Cod Makers. Go Check out their new Root Beer. It is non alcoholic and frosty on tap with a hit of vanilla that makes you think you are drinking a root beer float. Yummy!!!! Their Farmers Markets will be starting up on May 26th from 3-6 pm look for us there and bring your knives if they need sharpening.
We had a great weekend at Brewster in Bloom. We set up in the rain and broke down in the rain but there was some sunshine in between. Sales were good and we met a lot of great people, made some great contacts and got a dozen new names for our newsletter!. We gave out our last 50 cards and interested a lot of people in knife sharpening. I feel we will be having a lot of visits to our shop as there are many fans of Forged in Fire who have been bitten by the knife bug and want to see how the process works.
Update on the Land Rover coil spring knives. They went on a turkey hunt! Not clear if a gun or bow was used or if the Land rover backed over one in the driveway. It is possible on Cape Cod. I think the turkeys outnumber the seagulls now. One snuck up on Tom in the shop yesterday and gobbled him near into a heart attack. So go hunt those things and cut them up with a Cape Cod Cutlery knife!!!!
We will be at Brewster in Bloom this weekend. It is our first craft show ever! We have been working around the clock on a brand new batch of knives. We have a new sanding technique for the blades and the finishes on these new knives is coming out really nice. Here is a sneak peak of where we are at with 2 days to go. The last knife is sold but I like it a lot. Tt has a sassafras handle which Tom and I are both highly allergic to the dust from so making a knife with this on is a labor of love which takes about 2 weeks to recover from. I do love it though.
